Graduation and birthdays!

Well it finally happened . . . . my youngest sister graduated from high school and will now be moving onto the exciting world of college! It was a pretty fast graduation ceremony (for which we were all grateful I am sure . . .) This pic of Velveta and Mama P and Papa P is so cute! Velvee is SO tall! After graduation we gathered for brunch at the Parry's! Lou-lou and Princess enjoyed licking the beaters from the cream cheese filling! Such cute little ladies!Miss Minnie Mouse herself! The cutest little brown eyed girl!Erin's 18th B-day is today . . . so I made her birthday cake! It was a surprise that I made a Twilight/Breaking Dawn cake! The top layer of fondant was a little too soft . . . but it turned out pretty good! I made Julie's Birthday cake but didn't get any pictures!!! We did one checkerboard chocolate and another french vanilla with an almond and vanilla flavored whipped pudding filling topped off with chocolate dipped strawberries! They were mighty tasty!

Hot date night with the Demas'!!!

We had a hot date night out with the Demas' this week and went to see Brian Regan at Tuacahn and try out a new restaurant!
It was a plethora of fun kids! Thanks Kiki and Clinton for going with us! (We are still sad that WE didn't get to sit next to the guy with the annoying loud laugh!)Brian Regan was simply stellar! He is SOOOOO funny! The comedian who opened for him was awesome too, Kermit Apoia (?). It was such a fun night! I also made a Bumblebee Transformers Birthday cake for my nephews 5th birthday! It was a new experience for me working with fondant . . . but it was fun and turned out pretty good I thought . . . click here to see!

So since spring semester finally came to an end and I desperately needed to get away for a bit . . . so I planned a little road trip for us of places never before visited by us or not visited for a long time!
We started our exciting day trip at the Old Irontown Mission. Toph had been their and I can't remember if I had (with my parents and the all day mineral field trip for my 8th grade science class . . . I find it hard to believe that I missed this place!)
I loved the crumbling walls!
The view was awesome and it was a perfect day to get out and enjoy spring!I LOVED the tall grass! (But not the swarms of bugs circling the air above them! The little blast furnace . . . Exciting ruins! The Spanish RassThis was in a ditch . . . the horses must have broken many ankles trying to walk around it!Cloud Watching . . . it was supposed to rain torrents . . . but we only got 5 drops! The "scenic route" to Pinto!Pinto . . . blink and you'll miss it!Leaving Pinto . . .More clouds on the way to the Mountain Meadow Massacre site . . .
Gunlock Reservoir . . .Red rock . . . love it!Rounding the bend to Santa Clara . . . we passed Grandma Tobler's and thought of Mom and Dad L. It was a fun little excursion and a great day to go! I know that we have inspired you all to venture out and explore now!
