Okay . . . so last night I could not sleep and lay their for hours trying to konk out with no success . . . my mind just would not calm down . . . all of a sudden I realized that I had a story going in my head and I knew that I would lose my ideas and characters if I did not write them down . . . so Toph came in at 1:00 and caught me typing away pouring out my mind into a story overview that has me absolutely ecstatic! I have ALWAYS loved writing and have tons of different ideas written down and bits and pieces here and their but I am just way excited for this one! It is just fun for me to write and so releasing! I will let ya know when I am finally done with it one day . . . hopefully in the summer for sure! I think this one will appeal a bit more to women than to the fellas . . . but I could be wrong! (It is Austen era) Hey ladies thanks for your excitement upon hearing of my venture! I have always wanted to write a book and dedicate it to the amazing women in my life! I think this will be the one . . . hopefully the first of many . . . but who knows . . . we'll take it one day at a time! Maybe from time to time I will post a snippet!

I am writing a book! . . . finally!

Ohhh..I am excited to read a snippet!! How fun Em! I was thinking the other day of how fun it is that each of us women in your family has thier own little "hobby" or talent to share with the others. Your mom is talented at many things: cooking, sewing, hospitality, etc. Julie also is a great cook and seems to be the one who sort of "ties" everyone together. You are also a phenominal cook,great writer and party planner and add such personality and fun to our family gatherings (and you take Jared's teasing very well! He does miss you when you aren't there!):)
Kristin also has a sewing talent and is such a sweetheart, caring for everyone. Ami is so strong and also adds fun to our get-togethers...and seems to take the brunt of Jared's teasing if you arent there. Erin is so good to take care of kids & babies for us without even being asked! It's like she understands that we mothers need a break and just takes over.And even at the age of 14,15 & on, she could cook like I've never seen a teenager cook! And I, wouldn't say it's a talent, more of a learned hobby, but I like to digital-scrap and do photography. SO, it's just fun to see everyone's capabilities and talents and how we share them with each other. I love you all!:)
Em, please don't forget about us up here in Alaska when your book gets published and they make a movie about it. Remember we loved you even before you were famous! (wink - wink)
